Use Of the HTTP authorization to logon to sql server

We are developing database applications which are to be used through a
secure Intranet.

Could anyone suggest a way for:

-Using the user name and password accepted by the browser to logon to
any sql server.

The whole idea to do the above is to the following:
- The user logons(only once) to the secure Intranet by doing basic
authorization OR by using the Client certifiactes.
- The user then accesses database applications on the secure Intranet.
The user need not fill agian the user name and password to logon to the
sql server.

Any kind of help will be truely appreciated.

Thankx In Advance
