Query Analyzer text save - am I missing something?

hi

just noticed a weirdie in Query Analyzer - seems that when you save
the output to a text file you don't have many options available.  The
only choice seems to be Tab-delimited or CSV - but with _no text
qualifier_ available

Only just noticed this as I've got some output with CRLFs in the
middle of a column, which messes up the text file format completely.

Am I missing something obvious, or is there really no option to
enclose column values inside a "text qualifier" e.g. "", to stop tabs,
commas or CRLFs within the values from messing up the format?

only work-around I've found is to SELECT as unlikely a phrase as
possible in the first column of every row (e.g. POSSUMDENTIST) and
then use this as a row-delimiter in some quick'n'{*filter*} VBA code.

anyone come across this?

cheers

Seb

Yes. I'm not aware of a way to do this directly in QA. But you can do it
from DTS or the Import/Export Wizard.
