SQL Server DB Library for Multi-Instance feature of SQL 2000

Hi,

I have an application written with DB-Libraries and
I wanted to know whether applications written with
DB-Lib can interact with Multi-Instances of SQL Server
 2000.

When I run the application simultaneously fetching data
from databases of different instances some of the queries
 failed to execute.

 Ex: application1 interacts with Server$SQL1
     application2 interacts with Server$SQL2
     application3 interacts with Server$SQL3

Can any one kindly reply whether the above scenario is
possible with application written using DB-Libraries for
 SQL Server.

Thanks in Advance,
Sekar.
