 Problem with ScriptTimeOut
Hi All,

I have an ASP that calls a Store Procedure, the Store Procedure takes 43
second to run in SQL Query Analyzer, with is not very long, but in my ASP, I
all way get ScriptTimeOut, I set the Server.ScriptTime = 600, and still gets
the same error, I look up in Microsoft and I got "The timeout will not take
effect while a server component is processing. ". Any one know a way to work
around this?

Thanks for help

 Problem with ScriptTimeOut

make sure that your asp code doesn't contain any infinite
loop.

 Problem with ScriptTimeOut
It doesn't,
I only have one Store Procedure call, with connection.

 Problem with ScriptTimeOut
Set the timeout for the ADO command not the script. Look at
"CommandTimeout" property. The default is 30 seconds.

 Problem with ScriptTimeOut
I set the ConnectionTimeout=120 (I am using "ADODB.Connection")
but still get the same error.

 Problem with ScriptTimeOut
Connection timeout is for the duration taken to make a connection not
for executing a command. Set "CommandTimeout".

Also, be careful to set "CommandTimeout" on the *command* object
("ADODB.Command") as well as the connection ("ADODB.Connection")
if you are using a command object.

If you only use the connection object (connection.Execute)
then you only have to set "CommandTimeout" for the connection object.
