Mac ODBC 16-bit / DB-Library DBCONNECT / MS SQL Server 7 Connection Problem

Has anyone experienced a problem with your Macintosh running 16-bit ODBC and
MS Query or MS FoxPro 2.6a, and a DBCONNECT fails because of a new response
from the MS SQL Server 7 ODBC ?

The DBCONNECT does create a 'handle' on the server, but the server's
response is not compatible with what the 16-bit ODBC driver is expecting to
receive.  The server tells the ODBC client that it has "changed the database
context" from 'no database context' to the 'default' database context for
the 'login'.

Someone mentioned they had a fix (Mikee) for this, but they never posted
it...
