Shift-ctrl-C will comment out the current selection and shift-ctrl-R
will remove the comments.  Nice feature - I use it all the time.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I guess that makes sense...  Don't know how I didn't find it
on my own.  I'll check it out

(shuffle shuffle click click ??? click click click  click drag click
click click ooohhh)

Ok, now I know why I didn't get it, the lines to be commented need to
be highlighted for it to work.  Which is something I hadn't done when
trying to reproduce the behavior.

Thanks for the help.

Bill--

Ctrl-Shift-C.  Not smart enough to use the /*...*/
notation, though, so it just prepends entire lines with "--
".  Ctrl-Shift-R to uncomment.

Doh! I hit send to quick.  Is there a keyboared short cut to uncomment
the block again as hitting ctrl+ shift+ c just keeps adding comment
lines.

Once again Thanks,

Thanks Dan,

The Shift-Ctrl-R answered my next question...

Thanks for the quick response.

I did spend a little time looking for a toolbar buttons for this
feature and couldn't find them so I gave up on it. Man I wish I new
about that feature oh for the last 2 years or so...

Yeah I noticed the single line comments as well, but it is still
better than nothing which is what I was working with...

Thanks for the answer.

Bill,

You can see the list of keyboard shortcuts, a bit more than the one
you discovered, in Query Analyzer.  Choose Edit / Advanced from the
menu.
