 Help, im locked up

        any clues as to where to start looking when getting this in my
sql server error log.  (it locks up enterprise manager, and requires a
reboot)  its sql 6.5 on nt 4.0

97/12/23 09:02:31.43 ods????? Unable to write to ListenOn connection
'\\.\pipe\sql\query', loginname 'sa', hostname 'server1'.
97/12/23 09:02:31.43 ods????? OS Error : 232, The pipe is being
closed.
97/12/23 09:02:31.43 spid22?? Error : 1608, Severity: 21, State: 2
97/12/23 09:02:31.43 spid22?? A network error was encountered while
sending results to the front end. Check the SQL Server errorlog for
more information.

Try this. Use ISQL to connect to the Server. Use SP_WHO to list the current
connections in the Server. Kill the unwanted connections.

It looks as if it is you are causing the problem. Note the login is "sa".
Also note that your Enterprise Manager is a front end application to sql.
So it is probably not an "it" that is locking up enterprise manager. But
rather enterprise manager is the it that is creating the error message in
your sql error log. If you want to confirm this go to the NT error log
(look in the Application log) on the sql server and you will probably get
your machine name associated with the error.
