 Detect if SP is running
Is there a way to find out if another instance of a SP is already running or
are SP's always executed sequentially?

Thanks in advance

 Detect if SP is running

You have to do it programmatically. In SQL2000, you can use the
application locks via "sp_getapplock" & "sp_releaseapplock" to do this. If
you are on SQL70, then you can use a global cursor to do this.
