Converting Automated Scripts to Stored Procedures

I am taking the automated scripts generated for dropping and recreating
several tables in my database and using them successfully in the SQL Query
Tool. However, when I copy and paste these to internal stored procedures, I
am getting weird results. It appears that some of the If exists(...)
statements are being ignored. Also, when the stored procedure is saved for
the first time, it executes and then truncates all but one or two of my
drop statements. Am I missing something basic here?

EMAIL appreciated.
