 Sp5 versus Sp5a
I guess most of you are already aware of the problem SQL/Server sp5 has
about the backups. However, for the benefits of the others I strongly
recommand to upgrade to SP5a. With SP5, it could happen that the DUMP
command (backup) produces a corrupted dump file, which couldn't be loaded
without installing a specific Hot Fix. For more information, see MS article
Q215458.
I tell so because I had the problem today, though recently I did other loads
without problem. That proves if it works once doesn't mean it'll work
forever...
