 ole automation question

Hello

I have a SQL Server 7.0 installation. SQL Server will
periodically max out cpu resources. When this happens, all
the runnable task show that the last command executed as
sp_OACreate.

I cannot pinpoint any particular thread that is consuming
the cpu resources.

All other queries or interaction with SQL Server will
still process. It seems as though their is some failure in
the ole automation environment. I have tried to stop the
environment with sp_OAStop, but it does not seem to have
any affect.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Richard

| the cpu resources.

Have you tried this already?

To find which (sql) thread is taking most of the cpu time, in Perfmon look
at:
Object: Thread
Counter: Processor Time
Instance: All SQLServer Worker threads

Here you are trying to see if you can find any specific sql thread thats
taking more cpu than other threads. If you observe that a few threads that
are taking a lot more cpu than the rest, then you can suspect these threads
to be the problem.

Are you running the objects in-process?

Hope this helps.
