DTS Import Error When Importing Text File

DTS Import Error When Importing Text File
I am trying to import a text file using DTS.

I get the following error:

Too many columns found in the current row; non-whitespace characters were found
after the last defined column's data.

I have found that this file occassionally contains records that have extra tabs
half way through the file.

I have tried all of the workarounds.  Has anyone else found and resolved this
error?

Essentially the file is of an incorrect format. You can ignore these
records by using the Max Errors property, or fix the file.

DTS Import Error When Importing Text File
I wrote a little C program that corrects the file length....  I can send it
too you if you like.

It's amazing how often I encounter a fresh "issue" that is being discussed
the same day!
I would surely like to see that application.
