SQL 7.0 Crashed after SP1 Install
Hi,

SQL 7.0 is Crashing after I installed SP1. Most of the times, SQL Server
Service just freezes.

Some times it gives this Error in the Event Log:

Error: 0, Severity: 19, State: 0
SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 19 generated fatal exception c0000005
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. SQL Server is terminating this process.

The exception in the event log shows that something is wrong, but it's
something that should not be impacting the entire server...just the
individual connection hitting the problem.

This sounds like a case where you should open a formal support call with
Microsoft.
