Database role membership for replication

 Database role membership for replication

I have implemented merge replication on SQL Server 2000 with several
SQL Server CE subscribers. I have added this subscribers into NT group
and created NT login in SQL2K for this group. After that I have added
this login to users in the publishing database and added this login to
PAL. This login is not member of any server role and is member of only
public database role in the published database. However, when I
subscribe to the publication conflicts are reported on devices and
data is not copied to the server. When I add this login to the
db_owner role everything works fine.
What database role membership is required in published database for CE
subscribers?
Is db_owner membership required?

Janez
