Using a Dynamic Properties Task to set a Custom Task in DTS

Hi,
I'm working on SQL2000, SP1.  In a DTS Package, I'm using the Dynamic
Properties Task to set two properties (Data_Table and Where_Clause) of
a Custom Task (DTSPartitionFact).  If I right-click on each task and
execute each task individually, everything runs fine.  But if I press
the "play" button to execute the package, I get the following error:
Code execution exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.  I get the same
error when running this package from a job.
I'm using the Dynamic Properties Task to set a number of tasks.  If I
remove the custom task (DTSPartitionFact), then the package runs fine.
Also, if I hard-code the properties for DTSPartitionFact, then the
package also runs fine!  My only guess is that it's the combination of
using Dynamic Properties Task to set a Custom Task.
Can anyone offer an explanation?
Thanks
Janine

Using a Dynamic Properties Task to set a Custom Task in DTS

Solution:
The custom task was written in VB, so it is not free threaded and
executes from the Main Thread, however the Dynamic Properties task
does not. Setting the Dynamic Properties task to execute on main
package thread solved the problem.
