Transaction Log backup Error. Please help

You might try renaming the device and trying again.

Transaction Log backup Error. Please help
Dear Andrew

Thanks for your kind attention. Actually, the backup is
being performed by the Maintenance Plan utility and as
you know it back ups on a new file device each time.

The problem started when I transferred my databases to a
new server which uses a hardware RAID controller. Can it
be the source of the problem?

Thanks indeed.

Transaction Log backup Error. Please help
As you stated the only reference I could find was related to large log
files.  I don't know why the RAID would affect it for just this one file.
If your not on the latest service pack I would try upgrading first and if
that doesn't help then you might consider giving MS PSS a call.  I would
suspect it's hardware related but it doesn't make sense that the logs are
the only ones affected.
