DTS Task icons missing from Task bar and menu

IHil #1 / 3	DTS Task icons missing from Task bar and menu As of 2 days ago, when I go into DTS Designer there are no task icons on the task bar and the Task menu only shows 'Register Custom Task' and 'Unregister Custom Task'. So now I can create any new DTS packages! Also if I open an existing task, there aren't any tasks on the task bar, but the task that were already in the package are OK. This only happens from my workstation. If I go to another workstation and access my server from EM, DTS is fine. I'm running SQL Server 2K. I've already tried: ( 1) re-loading SP3 - no help, ( 2 ) unintalling and reloading SQL Server - no help, ( 3 ) uninstalling SQL Server, removing references to SQL server in the registry, then re-loading - no help. I'm at my wit's end. I can't think of anything else to try. Does anybody know what is causing this problem?

Bill #2 / 3	DTS Task icons missing from Task bar and menu Irene, Its not clear whether you've done those steps on your worksation or the server. I will assume its your workstation. You should make sure you have the latest version of mmc installed. Check you arent different from the other clients that work. The other thing I remember is seeing a microsoft document on recreating the icon cache (or something similar). It involved registry work that isnt SQL. Have a search on microsoft for the document. If neither of those fix it, I'd say you would save time just rebuilding your workstation.
