Downgrading a DB from SQL 2k to SQL 7
Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way to downgrade a DB from SQL 2k to SQL 7?

From what I recall SQL 2k data/log devices and backup devices can't be
interpreted by SQL 7, so the only way to downgrade would be to script all
objects and export data from the SQL 2k db and then recreate the objects and
re-import the data to SQL 7.  Am I correct?

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

Yes...you are correct. But also make sure  that the code doesnt contain any
explicit SQL2000 specific characteristics.
