 Prob in Stored Procedure

Hi,

I am working on MS-Access ADP Project. In that I supposed
to have a report.
The record source for this report is a stored Procedure
(SP).
This Stored procedure is based on Many views and
joins.Ofcourse some of the
views gets data from another view.

This stored Proceudre takes about 50 secs to run with my
machine.
(Intel CPU,128Mb RAM,70 MB Database).
The same Procedure runs pretty good with my Client's lap
top.
(DELL Machine with 128 MB RAM).

I have tested the report by opening it up from the front
end (which
we have in MS Access, back end is SQL Server 2000 ).It
works fine.

But unfortunately when we deployed to client's server
2 * 400 Mhz CPUs (Dual Processors,1.13 GB RAM ),the stored
procedure
is not getting executed and showing up the report when
they test the report
part from the front end.Same time if they run the
SP seperatly in back end through query analyser it works
well.

All I wonder why it is not working with fornt end.As the
ACCESS ADP Reports directly
talks with backend,we need not to worry about time out
factors I guess.
even though,I have set 5 mins to OLE requests in the
advanced options of the ADP Project.

Since it is taking merely 30-50 secc to run,it shouldn't
go beyond 5mins.

can anybody help me.We are in the 11th hour of our
Projects.

Looking forward
Sundar

Stick a Profiler trace on the report. It's hard to diagnose at this
remove since you haven't posted any code as to how exactly the report
is invoking the stored procedure or whether the request is even
reaching the server.
