SQL Server access on Novell network without Client for MS Networks

SQL Server access on Novell network without Client for MS Networks
I've been trying to find some sort of real documentation on a matter that
has been puzzling me.

Is there a way to access a SQL Server on a NT box through a Novell network?
The only way that I have been able to do this has been to install the Client
for MS Networks and do a quick logon to the domain.  I will be using
standard SQL security, so NT authentication is not my concern.

Any comments at all would be appreciated.
