analyzer and others application for client tool of SQL 2000 won't work
I have SQL2000 client tools set on my win2k pro desktop
box, but only enterprise manager is working. I cann't use
analyzer and profile, every time when I fire up those
applications I got error message that said "*****.exe is
not a valid win32 application".
I've tried uninstall and reinstall for several times
problem still there, anybody know why?
Thanks for your help

This sounds like either an install/mdac issue.  I suggest a manual
uninstall and reinstall.  Please follow these steps.

1.  Make backup copy of your MSSQL\Data and MSSQL\backup, if applicable,
folders to a location not in the MICROSOSFT
SQL Server path.
2.  Delete the MICROSOFT SQL SERVER path
3.  start regedt32
4.  Delete the following registry keys
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\mssqlserver
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\microsoft sql server
hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\mssqlserver
hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\sqlserveragent

5.  reinstall

If this fails, I would suggest logging a support call with Microsoft.

Thanks very much, thats works, that means unstalling MSSQL
by automatically does not clean up the whole thing in
system registry, I must do it by my own hand.

Anyway, thx again
