 Peculiar Problem

Hi All,
    I use Delphi - 5+ Sql Server 2000 + Midas
I have a peculiar problem. In one form of my I start a transaction , do a
long series of updates/inserts and deletes and commit the transaction. If at
any point , there is any error (either database or application trapped) , I
roll back the transaction. This was working fine until one day I noticed
that even when errors are raised and transaction is rolled back, many
transaction have been committed to the database resulting in inconsistent
data. How could this have happened. I detach/attach and throw out users from
this datbase during it several times  a day. Could this have caused the
problem.

Any help is appreciated

Alex

What exactly do "detach/attach" and "throw out users" mean?
