Hi,
Got a question. I  have created some stored procedures and have used a lot
of varchar's for datatypes.
If the varchar was to hold text as it does with the ones I created the text
size and the varchar size do not match. Example a textarea in HTML holding
20 char's and spaces is more than a varchr 20.
How do I find this in the help file SQL 2000? I looked under data types and
varchar.
Thanks
Chip

chip,

text datatype is not the same as varchar.

varchar is limited to 8000bytes.
