OPENXML Stored Procedure

 OPENXML Stored Procedure

Hi,
I've created a Stored Procedure with OPENXML in it.  It is used to take
particular elements out of an XML Document and store them in a database.
The XML is sent from a .NET Web Service.  It works fine (the stored
procedure is at the bottom).  What I need to do is add another input
parameter, when I tried before I received a parsing error.  The second input
parameter will come from the Web Service as well.

Is it possible to add this second parameter to my existing SP or should I
just create a short SQL String in the application?  I'd like to have them
together because the second input depends on the XML (it's sorted out in the
Web Service code before it is sent to the SP).

I don't want to append the second input parameter into the XML, I just want
to insert it into the database.

Here's the SP (this works fine as is):

as

INSERT tempdataxmlin
SELECT *

WITH (Crash_Report_Num int 'form/CRASH_REPORT_NUM',
           datReport datetime 'form/Date',
           County_City_Code numeric 'form/COUNTY_CITY_CODE',
           Make1 char(10) 'form/MAKE1',
           Owner_name varchar(40) 'form/Owner_Name',

GO

Thanks,

You should have no problem adding a second parameter to your stored proc.

CREATE PROCEDURE sp_xmlOverflow
(

)
