SQL Connection Question (Idle clients)

 SQL Connection Question (Idle clients)
I currently have users connecting to my SQL box via a custom app.  My
problem is that most users login, do a query, minimize it and leave the
application open, using valuable concurrent connection licenses.  I would
like to kill connections if they stay idle for a given amount of time.  In a
perfect world, I would like to notify the user of the killed connection via
something like a net send message.  Is there any way to do something like
this?

Thanks in advance for your help!
