xp_cmdshell not seeing newly created folder on network drive

Hi,

I need to write an sp that will copy a file over to a network drive so
my sys admin created a folder and gave rights to login used for the
win2k Server and it can see the new folder thru "my computer"
but it does not see it using xp_cmdshell 'dir \\raserver\data\*.*'
after checking thru these ng's  I found something about what account is
the mssqlserver running thru
and it is using the same login as the server it
self....Adminstrator...which does have rights to the folders..
with xp_cmdshell I can see the \\raserv\data\ drive's already existing
folders..but not the newly created one.
is there somewhere else that I need to set up something to do a refresh
of the rights or something...I just
dont get it...and I am fairly new to the server side...Usually do the
front end programming...
what would happen If i put the server to system account?

Thanks.

Stop/start SQL Server and see if that helps

From xp_cmdshell run the "whois" command from the NT resource kit.  Is this
the same user that you are logged on with and can access these files?
