 "master..xp_cmdshell" and BCP ODBC error
I get the following error when trying to
use "master..xp_cmdshell" with SQL Server
2000.  If I run BCP from a command window,
it works fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

You can get this error if the file you want to import data from is on a
network share and the account the SQL Server service is using doesn't have
access to that network share (e.g., if the SQL Server service is set to use
a local system account).  It works from the command line because the account
used to log in to the computer has permissions to the share.
