 Upgrade from SQL Server 6.5 +SP5a (in french) to SQL Server 7.0 (US)
During SQL Server 7.0 Install, I got a problem with that following message
"Connecting to server..." "Connect failed...Retrying".

NT Server Congiuration : NT Server 4 FR + SP4
SQL Server 6.5 security is managing by NT

If you can help me ....

 Upgrade from SQL Server 6.5 +SP5a (in french) to SQL Server 7.0 (US)

You have several steps to upgrade the DB from 6.5 to 7

Check that you use the NamedPIPE communication library and not TCPIP
this is required by the upgrade Wizard

Also, the account you're logged on the importing computer must have
administrative rigths on the exporting (6.5) computer

Check in the books online for SQL6.5 -> SQL7 importation.
