 Trying to convert word documents for loading into SQL 7

What I'm trying to do is take a word document and save the message to a
field in SQL Server 7.0 - the problem is that the information in the word
document is formatted in a table and when I try to save as text to use the
import wizard, the information in the message gets skewed. Any ideals? TIA
