Scripting Role Permissions and Users

 Scripting Role Permissions and Users
I am running SQl 7.0 and need to find a way to generate a
script that provides me a quick and painless way to find
the following:  Role, Role permissions, and Role users.

We are egoing through alot of renaming processes(rename
db's, rename servers, rename roles...) its a big nightmare.

I have been able to pretty much script and reapply almost
everything except the roles. It's easy enought to create a
new role, but to add all of the appropriate permissions
and assign users is a pain.

Any help would be greatfull.

 Scripting Role Permissions and Users

You can script the database users and database roles/SQL Server
logins/Object-Level Permissions through the Generate SQL Scripts utility.
Also make sure you have the latest SP installed. Though this is a good
method, the generated SQL Scripts still needs to be modified manually.
