Turn off ODBC informational messages?

 Turn off ODBC informational messages?
Is there any way to instruct odbc to not return informational messages when
it connects?

We are using ODBC version 2.65, and when connecting to SQLServer 6.5, it
connects successfully but returns messages such as 'Default Language changed
to us english'.  Unfortunately, even thought the connection was successful,
the application interprets these messages as a failure.

Is there any .ini or registry settings that can be changed to disable these
messages?

Not that I know of - you need to code the app to ignore them
