Where is the SQL Server 7.0 System Table Diagram
I cannot find the new systems table diagram that was in books on line in the
6.5 version.  Does anyone know where the new 7.0 one is.

Thanks
Reeves

It does not come with the BOL. MSDN sent out a copy with their monthly
newsletter to MSDN subscribers, but that was the only big distribution. Your
local MS rep can order them internally, but there is no way for a customer
to order one directly.

Q.     How can I tell whether a table is a system (Microsoft) table in SQL 7?
(v1.0  1999.04.15)

A. select * from sysobjects where objectproperty(id, 'IsMSShipped') = 1

Thanks for the answer, but is there some way that we could get Microsoft to
release this in an electronic format.  I used this resource heavily and
wonder why it is now not available in BOL.

Thanks
Reeves

Neal,

a system tables have a type of 'S' so you could write a select statement
against the sysobjects system table within the database in question. User
tables have a
type of 'U'

Example

SELECT *
FROM sysobjects
WHERE type = 'S'

for more info goto the Index tab on BOL and search 'sysobjects system table'
for all of the types

later
