 Return result set from stored procedure
i create stored procedure following.
create proc sp_verify_tape
as
   restore verifyonly from tape_dump with nounload
return

i want call this proc and receive return result set.
but this proc can't return result to my program (PB).
it's only show message from isql/w.
i need this proc return 'backup set is valid.' if tape can readable and
can receive this result set from my program.

 Return result set from stored procedure

With Powerbuilder, you will have to use format 3 SQL.  Basically, you
declare the proc, execute it, and then perform a fetch against the tran
object.

 Return result set from stored procedure
restore does not even a resultset only a message so that will never work.

message, which will never be language independent.
