SQL Server CE without SQL Server on Desktop
I currently have a working database running under ADOCE with the data in
.cdb files.  The back end database is MS Access 97.  Can I convert to SQL
Server CE on the Pocket PC platform without running SQL Server on the
Desktop or do I need to first convert the desktop database to SQL server to
use it on PocketPC?

SQL Server CE without SQL Server on Desktop

If you want to sinchronize your desktop database with your pocket PC
directly, you'll need SQL Server in both sides (and IIS). If not, you can
use SQL server CE in the Pocket without problems.
