 Centura Database Manager to SQL Server Possible?
Is it possible to tranform Centura's Database Manager (formerly Raima) to
SQL Server?  Or just some standard format like comma delimited file.  We're
trying to help a client to migrate his Centura database to SQL Server.

 Centura Database Manager to SQL Server Possible?

Hello.
Has Centura a ODBC driver? If it has you can use a tool at:
http://www.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/win95/database/chyfo171.zip
(version 1.7.1, 30k size, platform Win9x/NT/2000)

It's a converter of database data to a text file.
Its features:
- comma delimited (CSV), tab delimited, fixed length formats;
- you can provide any SQL SELECT statement;
- list of columns to be excluded from converting;
- start row and count of rows;
- generates native table creation scripts for MS SQL Server;
- generates import scripts for MS SQL Server (BCP utility)

Best regards, Dmitry.

Centura has an OLE DB and an ODBC driver. We have not had much luck with
the OLE DB driver, but have managed to convert data using DTS and the
3.5 version of the Centura ODBC driver. I think this driver was
developed by Merant which also has a 3.6 version of the driver which
works also.
