New User Login ID

 New User Login ID

I bought the MSDE for VS6 package and used it to install what I gather
is a developer edition of SQL Server 7 on my local W98 development
system. It works great (I think)

Questions:
- I imported one of my Access 2000 databases using the wizard (worked
fine). Now I want to add a new user. When I run the Enterprise Manager,
go the server, then to Databases and then to my database a choose "Ann
New User" the window that opens has a text box for Login ID and User
Name. The Login ID box is blank and there is no way to get the cursor
there to enter a ne ID? That box has a drop-down selector but that opens
a blank set of choices? How do I enter a new Login ID?

- This Developer version appears to be reasonably robust in that it has
several tools and took my rather large DB with no problems. What are its
limits? Can I access it from another Workstation on the LAN? How many
users can I login at a time? I'm planning to convert a FE/BE Access 2000
app that has 6 users at a time banging at the DB. If this developer
addition lets me test that it will save me having to install a full copy
for testing.

TIA

Wayne

 New User Login ID

Wayne,
- New Login ID
Under Security - Logins you need to create the logins first.
- Developer Version
Not sure, I believe your numbers will work, I just don't remember what
the EULA says...

Hope this helps
Jay
