sql 6.5 logins and database permissions transfer from one server to another
Hello All,
Does anyone know how to transfer logins and database permissions from one
server to another one?   I  restored database backups to a new server, but
the permissions did not come through.  Any help is appreciated.

Hi

The server logins need to be on the destination server as well. These can be
scripted or transfered with DTS. If the users do not appear against the
database in enterprise manager, but are listed when you execure sp_helpuser,
you will need to fix them with sp_change_users_login.
The permissions should be present.

See BOL for more details.
