DTS Running DTSRUN Using the NT Scheduler causes Error

Hi Folks,

When I run a DTS Package within Enterprise Manager or from a .cmd file using
DTSRUN it Runs fine but when I schedule it using an AT command it fails.

The following is the error:-

DTSRun OnStart:  DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_3
DTSRun OnError:  DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_3, Error = -2147008507 (80074005)
   Error string:  Unspecified error
Error source:  Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
   Help file:  sqldts.hlp
   Help context:  1100

If I turn on Error Logging it just states that the package fails.  As I said
above the package runs fine if I run it from a command file with the
following statment.

dtsrun /S NTREPORTING /E /N "Package Delete and Repopulate"

Calling this .cmd file from the NT scheduler is where the problem arises.

Any help would be much appreciated.....before I pull out the rest of my hair
:-((

Best regards,
                Olan

It's probably a security issue. If you execute it from the command line
it runs on your machine, with your NT credentials. If using AT it runs
on the scheduled machine, under the account for the AT service. In
addition, with IE 4.01 (I think that's the correct version) and above
the AT scheduled is replaced by the Task Scheduler service. For this you
can set the NT account used for each job individually.
