 ODBC driver and Access?
Have a lot of "time outs" using Access and ODBC towards an Ingres database.
Someone having info about this, which ODBC driver to use (version/where to
get it) and settings?

 ODBC driver and Access?

I use openlinksw (*really OLD version*) against ingres 6 vms 5.5 from
msaccess 97.  works like a champ.  depending on the design of the
tables, read is always ok, writing is dependent on a ONE-COLUMN index.
i know you can index on 2 cols in ingres, but odbc/access doesn't like
it in openlink 1.5.5 version.  your mileage will vary.

The driver name I am using is Ingres. Version number 2.80.00.60 from CA.
The file name is CAIIOD32.DLL. I downloaded it from CA website.
I just use the default settings. I am using Access 97, haven't got problem
so far.
