RE : Same Program run fine in DOS but not Windows

Hi everybody,

I have a Foxpro program which is a parent-child related data entry program
which runs fine in FoxPro for DOS.  However, when I run it in Windows,
the program will have the following erros :-
1.  a variable field's content in the child browse windows is wrong.
2.  end of file encountered happen 10 times a day randomly.
3.  sometimes the cursor stay in the browse windows which should not happen.

I know I am not quite describe the problem very clear, but I don't know
how to describe it clearly through text.
We using both 2.6 version of FoxPro for DOS & Windows running in a Novell
3.11 network with Windows For WorkGroup 3.11 and DOS 6.22.
We just don't know what happen because the program run very smooth in DOS
and doesn't generate any errors.
Does anyone running a FoxPro program in Dos & Windows and have same type of
problems, or maybe I should ask what's area I have to take care of when
running Foxpro program in Windows ?
If anybody is interested in seeing the programs, I can send you a copy of
part of the program and data file which maybe better for you to understand.

Thanks for everybody,
Best Regards,

Norman, are you running in a full development environment or as a
standalone app or exe?

A couple of things you can check.  If you are running a dos app and it
works fine in dos but not in windows, you may need to specify that the
app start in extended mode.  If you are running the same source built
under DOS and Windows, you may have failed to transport some changes
that were made.  To correct this you can open the screen file as a dbf
(USE myscreen.scx) and the delete all the records which have a platform
or _WINDOWS.  Close the table and then open the screen using foxpro for
windows and allow it to transport.  You will probably have to make some
cosmetic changes after it has been transported.
