 Negative Process ID's in PROSHUT?

Does anyone know what a negative process ID showing up in PROSHUT means?
I was under the impression that it meant that the user had idled or was
zombie'd... I couldn't find anything in the docs or help about it... Any
help/negation/affirmation would be greatly appreciated!
