 dBASE IV color attributes

Is there any way to change color attributes of FMT files in dBASE IV
runtime environment?

I have tried macro substitution, but it doesn't seem to work.
I have also tried to write unique FMT files with SET ALTERNATE ON/OFF
command, but the runtime environment obviously can't use FMT files
instead of FMO files.

BTW, is it allowed to upload dBASE IV runtime module along with a
pd or shareware dBASE application?

Any help appreciated.

You have a file (likely in the dBASE subdirectory) called CONFIG.DB. In this
file you will notice color settings for the standard screen colors, which can
be changed. FoxPro gets around this by using defined color sets, which are much
easier to work with.>

You may distribute the runtime library with your applications if desired.
Check the runtime sectino in the manual for more information.
