How useful is smart-objects based implementation?
I've been programming in Progress for 2 years now and has only use the
windows pager smart-objects. I'm not sure what scenario is a smart-object
useful. I use API and ActiveX if Progress doesn't have the feature that I
need.

Am I missing something for not using smart-objects?

You'd be missing having to learn all the link methods, and all of the
387 internal procedures that don't do what you really want anyway.
You'd also be missing your project deadlines.

In short, you'd be missing the way Progress was meant to be -
without SmartObjects.
