 how to bypass ingres-net with ingres 2.5

Hi,

With previous release of Ingres ( 6.4 , II.0 ) on Sun Solaris it was
possible to bypass Ingres-Net
using II_DBMS_SERVER environment variable ( setenv II_DBMS_SERVER
host::port ) .
With Ingres II.5 I have the following error message :

E_GC0057_NOTMOUT_DLOCK Override normal channel blocking (no tmeout)
to process data detected on the  expedited channel, avoiding deadlock.

Does anybody experience this kind of problem ?
Is there any method to go around this ?

Thanks for any help

Doesn't happen for me.  Are you doing this from the same machine or a
different one on the net?  What kind of client is it?
