Converting reflex 1.1 *.rxd files?

 Converting reflex 1.1 *.rxd files?

A friend of mine is still using Reflex for her data and now she wants to
manage her data with MS Works 4.0. The big problem is that I can not find
any conversion / translation utility because Reflex is old as the hills and
even when it was new it was rather obscure.

Does anybody know of any tools that can convert these files? I reckon that
early Paradox and Lotus 1-2-3 versions could manage this task, but since I
do not have access to either of these I am about to give up hope.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanking you in advance,

I have never used Reflex 1.1, but if it is anything like Reflex 2.0 (for
DOS), it should be able to translate *.rxd files into some other format.
Have your friend fire up Reflex and give it a try!

Reflex 2.0 can read *.rxd files and translate them into lots of formats.
DOS versions (I don't know about Windows versions) of Quattro Pro from
version 2.0 and up can load *.rxd files and export these files into a
format that MS Works can use. Finally, Paradox (DOS versions) is said to
be able to import Reflex files; however, I don't know whether *.rxd
files can be imported, or just Reflex 2 (*.r2d) files.

I hope this helps. If not, please contact me by e-mail for additional
help.

The best you can do is to export in the sdf or comma delimited modes.
This is in the export menu and will walk you through the process.

It indeed has the translator program.  You can translate most anything
into a TAB-delimited or comma-separated value (CSV) file with that.  Just
about any DB or spreadsheet should be able to read CSV.

You were really stretching to make your question on-topic for this group so
I'll answer the question. You need to do one of two things. Either export to
ASCII and reimport or purhase a copy of Data Junction.

Personally, however, I would ask why someone would replace one antiquated
brain-dead product with another equally as miserable. Why not go to Paradox?
