 Newbie VFP6 Form Help Needed Bad!

From my form's data environment, I drag-droppeed a field onto
my form.  It has the name txtcAddr_1 and is on the first page
of a pageframe set.  In the init method of the form, I typed
thisform.txtcAddr_1.Enabled = .f. but when I run the form I
get the error "unknown member".

I also have a line in the form's init method that says
thisform.Page2.Enabled = .f. (page2 is the Name
property of the second page in the pageframe), I get
"unknown member" here also.

Helllp!

Steve:
When you drag-drop on to a form, you must be sure where you
'drop' the object.

In your description you've dropped the txtbox on the pageframe.
But your ENABLED property is addressing THISFORM

Try THISFORM.PAGEFRAME1.PAGE1.ENABLED = .F.

Use this as a model for your other question....

It seems to me that your placement is critical.  I don't think the
formrecognizes the object in the Init method.  If you place the code
this.Enabled = .f. into the textbox object's init code, perhaps
it will work.  The key is the timing of when the code is seen by the
system.  It must be after the object is instantiated (created) by the
form.  Since I am also fairly new to using VFP, I'd have to test it to
see if what I wrote will work.  But, I have seen the same error before.

Let me know if it works.

If you fail to run this, that means your textbox control was placed on
either page of the pageframe.
To reference it, assume that you haven't change the name of any control, you
should write:
thisform.pageframe1.page1.textcAddr_1.enabled = .F.

same as above, it should be
thisform.pageframe1.page2.enabled = .F.
You miss the pageframe object, which is the container of those pages.
