 Warning FileMaker Pro new buyers.

Warning FileMaker Pro new buyers.
For those considering buying Claris FileMaker pro or any Claris product.

The current Claris tech support policy when you buy Claris FileMaker Pro
software is that you get 0ne (1) tech support access..... that's one
contact for any bug, problem, incompatibility problem, etc....

After  that you must purchase tech support.

Claris is also applying this retroactively as of earlier this year even if
your software came with the previously free 90 DAYS FREE SUPPORT FROM THE
FIRST TECH SUPPORT CALL.

My experience... I bought 2 copies of Filemaker Pro.... I waited to use my
90 days free support... I finally ran into a real bug and finally called
Claris to discover they changed the 90 day policy (after I bought the
software) and refuse to honor the original support policy in effect when I
bought my software.

FileMaker Pro is a fine program... but be prepared to spend additional
money for tech support... this extra cost is something you won't discover
unless you are aware enough to ask questions before buying ...so can read
the fine print.

If you are not technically inclined you may want to consider buying
sofware from some other company that is confident and strong enough to
stand behind their product for at least 90 days.Warning: FileMaker new
