 ASN.1 specification for SQL
Has anyone ever seen an ASN.1 specification for any version of any
dialect of SQL? If so - where can I look or it?

Thanks,
-Ron

Wow.  What are you going to do with it?  An easily parseable on the wire
representation of SQL statements in PER?

There are SQL grammars around and ASN.1 tools.  http://www.antlr.org,
http://www.oss.com.  Google for more options.  Take the grammar and
translate to ASN.1, compile and use.

If anyone has done this, I'd be curious to know!

Not quite, but ISO/IEC 9579 (Remote Database Access) required,
at least by implication, that client/server messages should be
asn.1. I had a short description on the CD-ROM of SQL-99 Complete,
Really. However, the e{*filter*}ment seems to be for other formats
nowadays.
