 How to retrieve a MS Access description table with Visual Basic 6.0
Hi

My Visual Basic 6.0 programm should retrieve the description of a MS
Access table.
To be more precise, the description one sees after having opened in
with MS Access a database, and visualized the tables' details (Menu
Wiew->Details) .
How can I retrieve the description of an Access Table in a Visual
Basic 6.0 program ?
Can anyone help me ?

Thanks in advance.

Using DAO it is something like this

Dim dbDatabase As Database
Dim tdfMyTableDef As TableDef
 Set dbDatabase = OpenDatabase("MyDatabase.mdb")
 Set tdfMyTableDef = dbDatabase.TableDefs("tblMyTable")
debug.print tdfMyTableDef.Properties("Description")

 Note that as the property may not exist your code needs to deal with
that.
