Paradox 4.0 PAL questions - tricky

While working with the new features of Paradox 4.0, the following
questions about it's PAL have risen and I haven't been able to get clear
answers from the Borland representative in Israel.  Maybe you could shed
some light.

1. How can I activate a SHOWPULLDOWN Menu from within my program without
   using GETMENUSELECTION ?
I want to be able to keep the menu active while allowing the user to
press on other buttons (using GETEVENT).
I have tried creating an event of an "F10" keycode, or of a "MOUSE DOWN"
event on the top row, to no avail.
2. Is there anyway of eliminating the irritating black "hole" left by
moving a SHOWDIALOG box, but not leaving it active ?
3. I have had various "Unexpected conditions", usually during the use of
dialog boxes with lots of dynamic arrays (except when noted):

   GP 0000 at PARADOX: 03:756a
   GP 0000 at PARADOX: 0a:0dca
   GP 11ac at PARADOX: 03:7429
GP 0000 at PARADOX: 16:0750 - while debugging a script
GP 0000 at PARADOX: 04:2630 - Stack overflow
   GP 84bc at YOMDP: 02:1be5
GP 0000 at YOMDP: 02:30ee   - While updating procedure library
   GP 0000 at YOMDP: 02:2d78
Could this be because of my configuration (PC Chips 386DX 5MB),
even though some errors have also occurred on a 486DX w/8MB ?

Overall I'm pleased with the new features of Paradox 4.0 over Paradox 3.5
but I have to admit that I haven't checked out P4W yet.

Thanks for any help,

        Ciao, Uri

Cant be done using conventinal approach. ShowPopUp or ShowPullDown will
always go away on events. Period. You could be little creative though.
Design a window (using Style, etc) that looks just like a PullDown/PopUp
and position it where PullDown/PopUp is supposed to be and the wait the
workspace. You can also try making the window floating...

I also experience these. Would appreciate if you could share the
solution---if you find one.
